Revelation 22:3, 5. What do these verses say about what we will be doing in this city? How does knowing that we will be serving and reigning shape the way you view eternity?

What excites you about our hope in our future home?

Hebrews 4:9–11. What does the writer of Hebrews says remains for the people of God in verse 9? How can we observe Sabbath rest as we wait for heaven? What do we focus on when we choose to not rest in God?

What are the ways you usually try to deal with your busyness and exhaustion? What do you feel like you would lose out on if you chose to rest?

Do you currently make time to rest? What, if anything, hinders you from resting? How have times with God rejuvenated you? What does that time look like, practically speaking?

What is one thing you could do this week to rest?

Looking back on this study, what is one thing you want to remember? How could you remind yourself of that principle this week?

What practical step is God asking you to take? What could you do this week to take that step of obedience?

Rest: Pick one restful activity that your group talked about in this session and try it out. Or get creative. Get your whole family involved. If you have kids, explain to them the reason behind why we rest.

Share: Tell the biblical story of home to encourage a friend, family member, colleague, or neighbor who might be experiencing loss. Share about the homemaking God who sent us His Son to rescue us, His homesick people.

List: List five things you feel like you would lose out on if you chose to rest. Pick one of the five to give up this week in order to rest.

Journal: Go back through this study and pick out the top three things you learned from God and want to remember. Pray through each of those points in your journal and thank God for all He has taught you.

Reflect: Reread the passages from Revelation 21 and 22. As you do, imagine the home God is creating for us. Reflect on what it means that Jesus will return and put an end to the curse of sin. End your time praising God for what is to come.
